Second beer of Christmas

On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me something pale and hoppy

My second beer of Christmas is a bit of a favourite a bottle conditioned triple hopped pale radical Road by Stewart brewing in Edinburgh.

I am lucky enough to have had this beer in cask keg and bottle and I feel the cluster of hops and secondry fermentation works really well.

Its a 6.4% hazy pale that to my pallet has altered presumably as hop availability changes but has developed into a sticky bittersweet beer with a clean finish l in a world of tropical this and grapefruit that it feels like a bit of a throwback of a ipa but it really works as a balance of hop flavours not too bitter just floral and grassy notes set off by a sweet malt base

If you can get ahold of a bottle conditioned version it is highly recommend if you happen to be in Edinburgh and can find it on cask then I wouldn’t drink anything else

You can try this beer by getting it in rehills Jesmond (I would advise tweeting to check stock) or beerhawk website
